Research on Site Selection and Capacity Determination of Distributed Power Sources in Rural Distribution Networks

  • In response to the low technical level and limited consumption capacity of rural distribution networks, as well as the focus of rural users on cost considerations, this paper constructs a distributed power generation site selection and capacity determination model with the objective function of minimizing voltage offset, network loss, and investment cost, starting from the key considerations of power grid safety, stability, and economy. Based on this model, three multi-objective intelligent algorithms (NSGA-Ⅱ, DBO (Dung Beetle) algorithm, MOPSO algorithm improved by niche technology) are used to discuss the site selection of IEEE33 nodes, Verify the effectiveness of the model. At the same time, using MATLAB to develop a forward and backward power flow calculation method, the voltage distribution and network loss of the three calculation results when connected to the system were discussed, and it was found that the MOPSO algorithm based on niche has more advantages in the location and capacity determination of distributed power sources in rural power grids.
