Discussion on the Practical Method of False Wiring Inspection of 10 kV High-voltage Metering

  • Inspection on false wiring of 10 kV high-voltage metering presents a challenging task for electric inspectors and is a crucial aspect of skill competitions. The conventional inspection method primarily involves phase voltammetry, followed by phasor diagram. While the instrument operation is relatively straightforward, determining the wiring status based on the measured phase angle or phasor diagram analysis is not always easy. To overcome the difficulties in analyzing the phase angle or phasor diagram, this paper proposes an alternative method that utilizes the equipotential method to confirm the voltage line at the end of the meter and the equal current method (or minimum voltage method) to confirm the current line at the end of the meter. Moreover, this paper discusses the practical method of checking false wiring in consideration of actual conditions, and has certain practical value for both electric inspectors and skill contestants alike.
