Research and Application of Automatic Camera Device for Readings of Removed Energy Meter

With the large-scale promotion of the use of smart electricity meters by the State Grid, problems in the use of smart electricity meters also increase. The first way to solve the problem is to remove the old meter and replace it with a new one. Conventional sorting device using manual power on, visual recognition, manual sorting, efficiency is very low. This project aims to develop a simple and fast sorting device, which can automatically file on the computer by scanning the bar code of the nameplate of the electricity meter, take photos of the display panel of the meter, and automatically judge whether the function of the electricity meter is abnormal through AI technology, so as to realize the automatic and intelligent whole process of receiving and sorting the electricity meter and uploading the process and result data.
