Impact of New Energy Power Plant Connection on Power Grid Relay Protection

  • After the integration of new energy , the grid system's sequence network structure changes, which leads to a change in the sensitivity of relay protection. As a result, the protection range expands, and there is a risk of relay protection devices malfunctioning. Through an analysis of the grid's sequence network combined with its operating mode, optimization measures were proposed to avoid the incorrect operation of protection due to grounding faults.
