Development Status and Prospect of Live Working in Medium Voltage Distribution Network

  • The medium voltage distribution network (MVDN) that is an important part to connect load and transmission network has the characteristics of complex live environment and diversified grid structure, which make post-fault overhaul difficult and extensive and longtime power outage, and seriously affect power supply reliability. In view of that, this paper summarizes the overhaul difficulties by analyzing the characteristics of MVDN. Meanwhile, the existing live working methods of MVDN are generalized. Then the leakage current loops under different live operation scenarios are analyzed and the safety performance of live operation methods are analyzed based on leakage current. Finally, this paper puts forward the prospect of live working technology of distribution network in the future.
