Research on a Method for Installing 500 kV Grounding Wire

  • 500 kV substation power outage maintenance, pre testing, and other work require the installation of 500 kV grounding wires on the line side to provide safety assurance for personnel during equipment maintenance. However, the metal part of the grounding wire is made of copper metal and the cross-sectional area meets the requirements, resulting in a generally heavy high-voltage grounding wire. Due to the high grounding position, the operation difficulty in daily installation of the grounding wire is high, and there is a high risk of personal or equipment accidents caused by operational errors in high-voltage sites. Therefore, by developing an auxiliary trolley for installing 500 kV grounding wires, the goal of installing grounding wires separately without the need for one person to climb heights was achieved. The article elaborates on the overall structure, main components, main functions, characteristics, and application prospects of the auxiliary trolley for grounding wire installation through a detailed explanation of the auxiliary trolley for grounding wire installation.
