Overview of Photovoltaic-Storage-Charging Planning for Rural Distribution System Considering Load Dispatchability Characteristics

  • Under the background of new power systems, the rapid development of distributed photovoltaic has put forward higher requirements for the photovoltaic acceptance capacity of distribution systems. Compared with urban distribution systems, rural distribution systems have weak grid structures, long power supply lines, large but small and dispersed loads. Large-scale distributed photovoltaics integration significantly increases the operational risks of the power grid, and the photovoltaic consumption capacity of the grid is limited, which seriously hinders the further development of rural photovoltaics. Thus, improving the photovoltaic consumption capacity of new rural distribution systems is urgent. With the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy, flexible loads such as air conditioning, heating, and electric vehicles are constantly emerging in rural distribution systems, providing the possibility of utilizing loads to absorb photovoltaic energy. Based on the existing research of modeling the schedulable characteristics of flexible loads, this paper combines the current research status of photovoltaic power stations, battery energy storage systems, and electric vehicle charging station planning in existing distribution systems, and looks forward to the PV-storage-charging planning methods for improving the photovoltaic consumption capacity of rural distribution systems.
