Development of a New Type of Waterproof Terminal

This paper introduces the development process and performance test results of a new type of waterproof terminal. Waterproof terminal is a device used to connect wires or cables, which has the function of preventing water from entering and causing short circuit or corrosion. The design and manufacture of waterproof terminal are of great significance for improving the reliability and safety of 10 kV and below power transmission and distribution lines. The experimental results show that the waterproof terminal developed in this paper has the advantages of good waterproof effect, high strength, low resistance, high temperature resistance, aging resistance, etc., and is suitable for various outdoor or humid environments of electrical connection.
