Research on Fault Self Healing Scheme for Overhead Transmission Lines in Distribution Networks Based on 5G Communication Technology

  • Traditional overhead lines in distribution networks cannot effectively achieve self-healing due to faults caused by tripping or grounding. Studying the protection configuration and reasonable layout of intelligent switches with 5G communication function in distribution networks can achieve rapid self-healing of distribution network faults. Install intelligent switches based on 5G communication technology in the distribution network branch lines and main lines, equipped with current and reclosing protection, and set the protection settings reasonably to effectively cooperate with the substation outgoing line protection. Through the logic analysis technology of each intelligent switch terminal, quickly isolate faults and restore power supply to non fault areas, thereby reducing the number of power outage users and improving customers' electricity consumption experience. Through the actual operation in a certain region, the success rate of distribution network automation self-healing has significantly increased, and the expected goals have been successfully achieved.
