The Identification Method of Three Phase Inconsistent of Circuit Breaker Based on Vibration and Electric Field Intensity Information

  • Three-phase inconsistent state can occurred in high voltage circuit breakers with the split-phase operating mechanism in the 220 kV and above voltage power grid. The traditional identification method of three phase inconsistent of circuit breaker can only meet the requirement of application of three-phase inconsistent protection and the identification results are difficult to be exported and shared by other systems that cannot meet the practical requirements of intelligent maintenance in substation currently. A novel identification method of three phase inconsistent of circuit breaker based on vibration and electric field intensity information is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the moment of opening/closing of circuit breakers is detected by the vibration signal. Moreover, whether the circuit breaker is in the three-phase inconsistent state is judged by employing the U-shaped curve of electric field intensity. Finally, simulation and field test results verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method.
