Brief Analysis of 10 kV Cable Line Shock Wave Partial Discharge Detection

  • Based on the principle of shock wave partial discharge detection, the advantages of shock wave partial discharge detection technology for 10 kV distribution cable lines are analyzed by combining theory with practice. The effectiveness and feasibility of this technology are analyzed through experiments. The results show that partial discharge is the precursor of cable insulation fault. By detecting partial discharge, the level of cable condition based maintenance can be improved.
