The Development Status of Power Grid Panoramic EMS and the Study of Its Function Application

Based on the development histroy of the automation of power system dispatching, the current demand of power system operation and the new technology application, this artical analyses the limitations of the traditional EMS, including the insufficiency compatibility of new technology and the difficulity of its updating etc. This artical focuses on the composition and structure of the panoramic EMS. Based on the new techonlogies of Scalable Vector Graphics(SVG), Common Information Model(CIM), Extensible Markup Language(XML) and data support platform ect, the panoramic EMS has only one model sourse and the main power grid and the distribution power grid are both visualized in the Dispatching center.There are some examples of the applications of the panoramic EMS in dispatching operation.At the end of this artical the author looks to the future of the panoramic EMS and its function extensions.
