Abstract:
For overhead transmission lines, the zero value detection of tension ceramic insulators requires manual detection on towers. Insulator strings that are too long are difficult to detect manually, and traditional manual detection has high risks, low efficiency, and significant operational limitations. This article proposes an intelligent zero value detection device for airborne double string tension insulators, which adopts an eight claw rolling motion. The probe can synchronously detect four insulators and alternate back and forth to detect twice, so that detection accuracy can be improved. Supports multi-directional adjustable degrees of freedom, suitable for different voltage levels and types of tension ceramic insulators. The experiments show that the device has good walking efficiency and high detection accuracy on double string tension insulators.
