Abstract:
In response to the increasing integration of distributed photovoltaic systems into urban distribution networks, an electromagnetic transient simulation model is developed to study the operational characteristics and power quality of such integration under varying penetration levels. The model also analyzes the safe and stable operation of urban distribution networks. To address the stability issues caused by the weak coupling between the photovoltaic interface converter and the urban distribution network when high-power photovoltaic generation is transmitted over long distances, a mathematical model for stability analysis is established based on the simulation results. This model is used to identify the specific factors affecting system stability, and corresponding improved control strategies for photovoltaic interface converters are proposed.
