Abstract:
This paper presents a typical case of a 110 kV cable terminal tower damaged by a mountain fire, which caused damage to the cable. Due to the fact that the cable terminal tower is a dual-circuit tower for supplying power to an 110 kV substation, it was urgent to solve the defect otherwise there was a risk of the entire 110 kV substation being lose voltage. Due to the timely and proper handling of all parties, the impact and loss are limited to a minimum range. Through the analysis of the cause of the accident, the paper provides the design of the defect elimination scheme and the process of the defect elimination, and finally puts forward the preventive measures and suggestions of similar defects to prevent the occurrence of similar accidents.
