Abstract: In the operation and maintenance and fault emergency repair of the overhead low-voltage distribution network, it is necessary to climb the pole to complete the inspection of the secondary side of the distribution transformer (hereinafter referred to as the secondary side of the distribution transformer), the integrated distribution box of the distribution transformer (hereinafter referred to as the integrated distribution box), the line joint contact, and the opening and closing of the circuit breaker. However, in the process of pole climbing and high-altitude operation, there are sometimes safety problems that workers are close to live equipment. In addition, in winter, there is a situation that the pole frost causes the pole climbing process to slip. According to the requirements of safety regulations, in general, it is not allowed to check the equipment on the tower during the line patrol. In this paper, a tool plug-in module based on insulated operating rod head is developed. So that the operation and maintenance personnel can easily fasten the plug-ins with different functions on the insulating operating rod head during field operation. It can complete the appearance inspection and temperature measurement of low-voltage circuit breaker, equipment on the pole and line without climbing on the pole. The security and convenience of the operation and maintenance process of the distribution network are improved.
