Abstract:
The phenomenon of mixed connection of single radial feeders and parallel generation lines is common in Mountain Power Networks with small hydropower. In case of line failure, due to the low degree of automation of hydropower, the machine cutting strategy is often adopted, which leads to the problems that hydropower can not be absorbed and the reliability of residential power supply is low. This paper presents an intelligent hydropower microgrid technology scheme. With the support of small hydropower, an intelligent hydropower microgrid with small hydropower as the main power supply is established by using the reservoir energy storage mode. Through the development of intelligent hydropower controller and micro network controller, the micro network system is coordinated and controlled. The first Ruyuan hydropower station in Shaoguan was taken as a pilot and successfully operated off grid for 36 hours with load. The effectiveness of the intelligent hydropower microgrid control strategy is verified. It has the value of promoting to more mountain power grids.
